Using Your Bay Rider Boat in Delaware

There’s great boating from the coast of Delaware all the way to the state lines. The calm waters of the Brandywine River means fun for the whole family. Meandering through Delaware’s “Chateau County”, the views from your boat will be phenomenal.

If boating in the largest reservoir in Delaware is more your speed, Hoopes Reservoir is an excellent choice. Originally built in 1932, and restructured several times since then, the reservoir and its surrounding areas has been open to the public since 1971. Residents have found great fishing in the area.

For the avid hunter and fisherman, the Murderkill River is another excellent choice. The public boat ramp allows year-round access to Murderkill River and into Delaware Bay. This area is best known for hunting, fishing, crabbing, and bird watching— just remember to bring your mosquito repellent during the warm seasons!
