Using Your Bay Rider Boat in Mississippi
The Mississippi River isn’t the only great place in the state to go boating! Mississippi is filled with so much history and culture— as well as an excellent climate. With the swamps, bays, lakes, and more, boating in Mississippi is fun for the whole family.
Sardis Lake in Panola and Marshall Counties is considered one of the most beautiful lakes in the state. In fact, thousands of visitors come to the lake each year. Visitors find Sardis a great place to go skiing, sailing, fishing, picnicking, and just enjoying the sun. In the southeast corner of the lake, you can find the Sardis Lake Marina, home to 140 slips, and a restaurant.
If you’re looking to participate in a fishing tournament, you might be interested in Grenada Lake, just northeast of the city of Grenada. A total of 16 different professional fishing tournaments are held each year at Grenada Lake, including Bass Pro’s Crappie Masters Tournament. There’s excellent bass, catfish, and bream fishing to be found.
For a more serene boating experience, Clear Springs Lake is a popular choice due to its pine-covered hills and has excellent camping and recreational activities. While it’s a smaller lake, it’s well worth the visit. Boaters can also access beaches on the north side of Clear Springs Lake.
